The Love Your Plumber team had a successful day today in Barnsley today,  for Mr and Mrs Mwanda.
Whilst the Powerflushing machine did its thing, the team had the opportunity to get to know our customers more.
Mr and Mrs Mwanda both moved to England in the 70’s from Zambia to study. Mrs Mwanda passed as a nurse and worked for the NHS for over 30 years! Meanwhile Mr Mwanda studied accountancy and held a job in London. Needless to say that Mr and Mrs Mwanda were delighted with the results that came from the powerflush, and will hopefully not feel the benefit for a few months yet, when the heating is needed!

Combi boiler Swap Rotherham

This week Love Your Plumber performed a combi boiler swap for a customer in Rotherham. Coming out was an old Worcester junior. To be replaced by a brand new Ideal logic plus. This lovely bolier comes with also the most enrergy efficient parts, along with a 10 years warranty. When teh team looked at this job, it seemed an easy days work. However, let me tell you it wasn’t! The flue going through the roof was located right in the corner, and wasn’t accessible through the loft. The team had to take 8 tiles off the roof, just to gain access for the installation of the flue.
It was too tight to crawl down to it in the loft and the insulation was 400mm thick! All this on what ended up being the hottest day of the year!  Anyway, adapt and overcome, the job was completed successfully and the customer was delighted!

What is a combi?

In a nutshell a combi boiler provided heat and hot water on demand, instantly.

How does a combi boiler work?

A new combi boiler uses a condensing system to efficiently heat water. When the boiler owner requires heating or hot water, the gas burner in boiler springs to action and ignites. As you will be aware, Love Your Plumber are a Ideal authorised and accredited installer. However the team are not adverse to installing any boiler make or model, at a customers request. Today was the day for a different make of boiler instillation, for a customer in Rotherham.

Over the years Love Your Plumber have installed a wide range of boiler makes, but today was a first! It was an insulation of  a Glowworm energy boiler . As you can see with the fittings and clips, everything we do is like a military operation. Love Your Plumber’s owner John, is very OCD when it comes to his work and it all has to fall into place  (trust us, he sorts his van out every Saturday morning ) After all a good set up makes the job alot easier and smoother. From loading out, to finishing off, every stage of the job is thought out.
This project involved replacing an old Vaillant system boiler that was running the central heating and a old chaff instantaneous water heater that solely did the hot water. the boiler prep and replacement all went to plan, with minimal fuss or mess. Now the customer has a boiler unit that provides both heating and hot water, and way more efficient than her previous set up. Which is really going to pay off in this climate.
